Marrakech to Ourika Valley

Experience this day with local hosts

Ourika is Marrakech’s picnic valley: a river, terraces, and the trail to Setti Fatma’s waterfalls. We keep the day private so you are not marched through souvenir stalls.

Wear shoes that can get wet if you want the falls. In summer we leave early to beat both heat and crowds.

Itinerary

Day1

Marrakech to Ourika Valley & Setti Fatma

Approx. driving time: Approx. 70 km each way

The Ourika Valley is a green cleft in the Atlas, with a river, terrace cafés and the trailheads of Setti Fatma. In spring the valley is especially lush; in summer it is a refuge from Marrakech heat.

You can walk toward the waterfalls (a rocky path with several crossings — we match it to your fitness), visit an argan or saffron cooperative, and have lunch with your feet almost in the stream. Return via the same valley road, with a last look at snow on the ridge if the season allows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this day trip private?

Yes. You travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver. Dates, pace and stops are yours — we do not combine you with other bookings.

Can we customize this itinerary?

Yes. Pickup time, lunch stops and how long you linger at the main site can all be adjusted. Tell us if anyone needs shorter walks.

Where is pickup?

At your riad or hotel in Marrakech, at a time we agree the day before. Airport or medina-edge pickups are possible if you tell us the access notes.

How difficult is the mountain walking?

Village paths are optional and paced to the group. This is not a Toubkal summit day unless you ask for a trekking outline. Tell us about knees and we will keep the walk on gentler tracks.
